The Australian dollar strengthened against the other major currencies in the early European session on Tuesday.
The Australian dollar rose to a 1-week high of 1.0106 against the Canadian dollar, from an early low of 1.0066.
Moving away from an early 6-day low of 87.22 against the yen and a 5-day low of 0.7245 against the U.S. dollar, the aussie advanced to 87.60 and 0.7279, respectively.
Against the euro, the aussie edged up to 1.5080 from an early low of 1.5137.
If the aussie extends its uptrend, it is likely to find resistance around 1.02 against the loonie, 89.00 against the yen, 0.73 against the greenback and 1.48 against the euro.
